Amnesty International

Amnesty international is again criticizing Jamaica for its human rights record. While it cited instances where Jamaica has shown improvements it still lists incidents of police killings as being to high. BERLIN – Six German states have told retailers to stop selling Red Bull Cola energy drinks after a test found a trace amount of cocaine.

The bans started Friday after a sample test conducted by authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia state found 0.4 micrograms per liter in the drink.

Five other states also banned it from shops amid concerns over possible narcotics law violations.

Germany’s Federal Institute for Risk Assessment said Monday that the cocaine level was too low to pose a health risk. It planned to produce a more detailed report Wednesday.

All indications are that the reggae show dubbed ‘Best of The Best’ at the Bicentennial park in Miami turned out to be a success. Words are that many of the performers, especially Beenie Man performed at their best. Rain did not dampen the spirit of the thousands who show up for the show.

President Barrack Obama chooses a Hispanic woman, Sonia Sotomayor, as supreme  court nominee. She would be the first Hispanic to be chosen as a supreme court justice, if elected. From what we are hearing the republicans are going to have a hard time to defeat her. They  may not go after her with the hatchet either out of fear of alienating the Hispanic community which is going to be instrumental in their chances of getting back in the White House. Nevertheless, there are some are going to fight to the death at the thought of another minority crawling into high places.

It is no surprise that so many people all over the world admire Michelle Obama but from what one can see and read about this lady I am not surprised by the many admirations that she have received.
