They need to hire enough police to monitor the streets and keep things in check and stop pressuring people about dances. What they are doing is running away Jamaicans and tourist and they won’t have any problem in finding other places to go. When other places are trying to adopt Jamaica style in order to attract people and tourist Jamaica is trying to change what is working , for something else.
Old time people used to say cow never know the use of his tail until he loses it. That’s where Jamaica is going because if they continue with all these stupid rules and so call laws they are going to be left there with their rules and laws while they eat each other. I am not saying that there should not be any rules or laws but why try to bite the hand that is feeding you. Jamaica is known especially for its music so why are we not capitalizing on what we have? Others are making millions from reggae but we are now restricted, give me a break.
There are suggestions made as to have an entertainment area who is the almighty who is going to decide as to who make money and who don’t. If I have a club that has employed people and that is my livelihood but it is not in the so call entertainment area then I would have to close business and then what? How would I live and what will I do? The biggest problem that Jamaicans are having is that they don’t want to be Jamaicans. They want to be like anyone else especially America and that is the BIG PROBLEM you see Americans don’t want to come to Jamaica with things the same as America if that is the case then they would stay in America.
In America there are beaches and clubs too but people would rather spend the money and go to Jamaica or other places because of the vibes. When I talked to people who goes to Jamaica on vacation they talked about the fun that they had, the music, the parties, the food and the beaches and that is what they are expecting.
I am not sure who in their right mind would want to change something that is working especially in this time. This makes absolutely no sense. It seems like Jamaicans are getting too sophisticated and book smart without any common sense.
