Squingy From Bass Odyssey Passed Away

We heard the sad news that Kevin ‘Squingy’ Bennett, world class Bass Odyssey selector, passed away in the Tampa General Hospital recently. Squingy has been battling a terminal illness for a while but he now succumbs to it. Squingy is well known in the music circle for his genius as a selector and entertainer. We send our condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Squingy.

Gay Lover Gouged Partner’s Eyes in Jealous Rage

A Gay man gouged out his lovers eyes in a Calabar Mews apt, St Andrew Jamaica claiming that his lover slept out last Saturday night. According to doctors at the University Hospital the man may never see again. One policeman commented hat it was a sight to behold, so to speak. Recently there have been numerous reports on Gay on Gay violence, but no one is talking about it. However, when a Gay is attacked, even verbally, everyone lets loose. All violence is wrong.

Blood Bank Dilemma

It was surprising to me when my cousin told me that her father had received blood which he need desperately and more or less he would have died if he had not received those units of pack red blood cells. What had floored me is when she told me that the Dr. said that she wanted back her blood which my cousin had agreed to return. The problem only got worse when people, family members, and friends who were willing to give blood change their minds when they realized the location of the donation site. Bruce Golding Promises

Today is the 66th annual conference of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) of which Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding is the president. Mr. Golding is highly anticipated to give one of  his trademark riveting speech, but will it be good enough to pacify the crowd again. JLP supporters, like the opposition, are going to endorse the speech no matter what is being said. Politics is sometimes a brain-dead sport. Jamaicans are being slammed left, right, front, back and center with taxes imposed by the government. My heart goes out to especially the little man who has a little shop trying to make ends meet in order to survive. Many of them now have to close their little business because the business cannot pay for the taxes charged and once the door is open the taxes are due. I am glad that he is being credited and recognized by different entity of the society for the effort he has put out and the achievement he ha s accomplished.
