Commissioner Resigns

I am not surprised that that commissioner of police has vacated his position. I guess that he has a conscience and realized that he is not doing much for that majority of Jamaicans therefore it is best for him to step aside. Jamaica needs people who are serious about the business of the people and if they are not able to perform or take care of such business then it is only rightful for them to move out of the way. Oh my! Another Top Cop Resigns

What the hell going on in Jamaica? Another commissioner of police handed in his resignation over the weekend. It has been rumored that this was going to be the case but there has been many dodging and denials by even the commissioner himself. Commissioner Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin finally gave up what seems to be a job with no resolution or conclusion. Read the rest of this entry

Bank of Jamaica Gov. Resigns

Bank of Jamaica governor Derick Latibeaudiere has resigned suddenly after 13 years at the helm. While a new, or not so new, government has the right to choose its official representations it is bad timing for the BOJ governor to go during economic turmoils. Jamaica is now facing a crisis of too much debt burden and lack of sufficient foreign exchange. This has forced the government to do the unthinkable by running to the IMF. We  hope the resignation or firing of the governor does not do more harm to the already fragile economy.
