Jamaican international entertainer Buju “Mark Myrie’ Banton will appear in a Tampa court today for Arraignment on federal cocaine charges. As we already know Buju vehemently denies all charges against him and his fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting to see how this will pan out. buju top flight attorney David Oscar Markus says that Buju is innocent and the government case got no soul. I am presently living in the USA but from your letter in the Gleaner 1-6-2010 I do believe that I am living in the wrong place. Maybe I should be living in the same country that you live in where white don’t discriminate against black. Don’t get me wrong I do believe that there are some improvement and that life in America is better than what is used to be 20 -30 years ago, but to say that we have equal opportunities is not true. Jamaica Fry Fish, Mmmmm

A basin of Jamaican fried snapper fish from Alligator Pond sea front in St. Elizabeth. This fish was fried outdoors on wood fire Jamaican style. In Jamaica it is customary to roast, fry, grill and bake salt water fish. Many Jamaicans abroad and visitors alike visit Jamaica for the taste of the fish alone. Nowhere in the world fish is done like Jamaica… and I meant every word of it.

Jamaica Mountains seems to touch the sky as reference by Christopher Columbus when he visited the Island in 1492. Puerto Seco Beach lies in the town of Discovery Bay in the parish of St. Ann. A long standing favorite of beach goers, Puerto Seco has long being one of Jamaica proudest landmark. Some historians believe that Christopher Columbus landed at Puerto Seco Beach area in 1494. The town was previously known as Dry Harbor. Next time you are in Jamaica make sure that you visit Puerto Seco Beach, nice area for a picnic.
