The new government of Trinidad and Tobago is said to be reviewing the new Air Jamaica buy out deal. Trinidad owned Caribbean Airlines had just entered into an agreement to purchase Air Jamaica. Many Jamaicans are not happy with the deal and believe the government should have sold the airline to a Jamaican entity. Jamaica minister of Finance Audley Shaw claimed that the deal is solid and can withstand the scrutiny.
