Mr. Morris

Your letter to the Gleaner 6/26/09 regarding ganja production and its benefit medically as well as economical was excellent. I have thought about the same points that you have mentioned and I have come to the same conclusion, that America is being hypocritical in their decision to put pressure on Jamaicans who grow ganja. It is a shame that because America is so big and powerful that they can do anything they want to do and tell other countries what they should do.

I do hope that the Jamaica government read your article and realize that like all those countries that are blessed with diamonds or gas Jamaica is blessed also. We are blessed with the best ganja in the world so if those countries can benefit from what God has blessed them with why should another country suppress our blessing. As the prime minister rightfully say that we need agriculture in order to get out of this economic plight that we are in.

We have the resources to make life better for Jamaica and Jamaicans. We only need the government to stand up and start production.
