What the Hell? Controversial DJ Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer has been charged with murder and conspiracy to murder by the Jamaican Police. He is also charged with possession of illegal firearm and possession of Ganja. Kartel is one of Jamaica most financially successful DJ having made several hits over the last few years with many of them as controversial as his own personality.
According to the Jamaica Gleaner, Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell, has disclosed that some Jamaican entertainers will be charged for various crimes, including murder in the days ahead. The AC said that a number of Jamaican entertainers are involved in crimes and will be dealt with by the law very soon. A press conference is scheduled for next week.
Recently entertainer Vybz Kartel has been held for questioning about Ganja in a hotel room where he and others occupied. There is also an investigation about a body that was found in a house that he frequents. Kartel has not been charged with anything as yet but investigation is still going on.
Reggae Superstar Mark ‘Buju Banton’ Myrie was today sentenced in a Florida court for 10 years in Federal prison on cocaine charges. Many of Banton fans and family members were hoping that the artist would receive a lenient sentence from the judge but 10 years is by no means lenient.
Hip Hop/Reggae artist Sean Kingston was hospitalized in a Miami Hospital due to an accident in a watercraft. Kingston and a female companion were on the Jet Ski when it ran into a bridge. Kingston is said to be in stable condition. We pray for the speedy recovery of both parties. Accidents do happen.
News report is that rap artist Wyclef Jean was shot in the hand while driving in his homeland countyr Haiti. It is reported that Jean was travelling in the capital Port Au Prince when the car that they were travelling in was fired on by gunmen. Jean was fortunte to escape with only a shot in the hand. Jean recently attempted to run as president for Haiti but he was hampered by residency complications.
Mark ‘Buju Banton’ Myrie may be facing Judgment Day today as the jury meets again to deliberate his case in a Tampa court. Buju is facing life if found guilty on all four charges in a cocaine conspiracy case. Fans around the world are praying for Buju as many believe that the International Reggae Artist was set up by interest groups in the US.

In the second day of reggae superstar Buju Banton trial in Tampa informant Alexander Johnson was caught lying, or for better words giving conflicting statements. Johnson told prosecutor that Buju first brought up the cocaine dealing to him during a conversation. However, on cross examination from Buju’s attorney Johnson admitted that it was he who start talking about cocaine first. More lies tomorrow…
