After landing in Jamaica yesterday for the first time after the Olympics  Usain Bolt requested a bucket of 15 piece KFC. Kentucky delivered 4 buckets to his room at the Pegasus Hotel. Bolt and his family dived in for the tasty Jamaican chicken. We know that Usain Bolt saw many KFC restaurants in China, Germany, Brussels and all the other first world countries and cities that he visited. But one thing we know that Jamaican Kentucky Fried Chicken is the best in the world!

After a breaking numerous track and field records abroad, Usain Bolt returns to his homeland for the first time. Jamaicans turned out in large numbers to greet him at the airport. Both the prime Minsiter and the opposition also were on hand. We hope that the country can use the publicity capital that Bolt and the other atheletes afford us and turn it into something meaningful where all Jamaicans can benefit. We wish Bolt the best and hope he keeps strong and healthy for a long, long time.

Mr. Bartlett is trying to explain the reasons for the deal with AA, which I think no one is swallowing. It makes absolutely no sense to me that if I sell mangoes and have customers who want to buy mangoes then why would I send them to someone else who sell the same mangoes. I would only be doing that if I were not in the business to make money.

Air Jamaica should have a better plan to improve their services such as courtesy, not only to tourist but also to fellow Jamaican, their fares need to be comparable to that of other carriers to Jamaica, and they should be more punctual.

I know that most Jamaicans would rather take Air Jamaica than any other airline if they try to accommodate their passengers. I wish that money spent on AA would be more beneficial if it is spent on Air Jamaica.

Sarah Palin has spoken and the media is going crazy. Never mind that her speech was mostly written by someone else, like most of the other politcians. A few weeks ago we were led to believe that speeches didn’t value anything and Barrack Obama is all speeches, no substance. Now the same people are praising the virtues of a good speech. The speeches will be soon long gone and Palin will be grilled on her plan for domestic and foreign policies. This is where the real test will come in. Countries like Jamaica are waiting to see if they will be neglected fro another 4 years like what George Bush did. When all the speeches are over there are going to be a lot of questions to answer.

The shift system in the schools I think is one of the smartest thing the Jamaican government has done .  Having one school doing the job of two schools. This has allowed the system to accommodate the children and not build additional buildings therefore everyone save. This allowed the children time to study, and complete their homework. Can you imagine how much money it would have cost to make new schools in order to accommodate all those children. This goes to show how brilliant Jamaicans are to put such a wonderful idea in place.
