Is Jamaican Music Contributing to Violence?

According to an article written in the LA Times Jamaican Dj music such as ‘Ova di wall, Put yuh AK ova di wall…’maybe contributing to crime and violence in Jamaica. It has been widely believed for a long time that such lyrics influence especially the young and vulnerable in the Jamaican society. The musicians however would argue that they are just reflecting the negativity that has already permeated the society on a whole. Click Here to read LA Times article
