Working in the medical field as a nurse or Dr. has become more and more demanding. It is a tough enough to be in a situation whereby you are held responsible and reliable for someone life on a daily basis. This is a great burden and a lot of stress.

A nurse or Dr is faced with the situation of dealing with the patients and family and they have to deal with the institution plus the legality of practicing healthcare.
Many people tend to forget that a medical institution is a place of business and the main focus for the business personnel is to make as much money as possible form that investment no matter what. They want to bring in as much money as possible and pay out as little as possible.

A patient in the hospital wants as much bang for their money they wanted to receive the best that there is which include but not limited to medical care, nurse care, food service, equipment and house keeping.

The Doctors and nurses are in a catch twenty two situation, they are at a point where they are trying to serve two masters and they cannot upset either . One master being the company and the other the patient. As medical personnel you are stretched thin between both. You have so much to do with so little while the patients wants undivided attention when you are limited due to the nurse patient ratio and the amount of paper work that have to be completed.

Many may get excited regarding the amount of nurses that graduated yearly but did anyone stop to wonder why we continuously have such great shortage for nurses. Many graduates are not able to withstand being in the center of the tug of war that exist in the medical field and some are literally burnt out because of the high demand that the job require and stress.
