Jamaicans worldwide are calling for the resignation of Jamaican Prime Minister over the Manatt, Phelps & Phillips Dudus extradition matter. The issue at hand is whether the Prime Minster in his capacity as government of Jamaica hired American law firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips to assist alleged drug and gun smuggler Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke avoid extradition to the US. The PM and has long insisted that any arrangement between himself and Manatt, Phelps & Phillips was conducted on behalf of the Jamaica Labor Party and not the Jamaican Government.

Recent emails transcript provided by the Jamaica Gleaner has refuted argument by the Bruce Golding government that members of the government did not engage Manatt, Phelps & Phillips in discussions on extradition matters. There are so much inconsistencies, innuendos, and deceptions in the whole sags that people are calling on members of the government including the Prime Minister himself to resign.
