More On the Jamaican Gay Issue
Opinion From a Jamaican View Reader: L. Roberts
Whilst I can understand that we are all entitled to our opinions. These gay people must start to understand that not everyone wishes to live their kind of lifestyle. Jamaica like Australia is a Christian country if a certain person or persons wishes to live and behave unlike the majority, then they should excise their right by either keeping their views within their circle or leave the country. This Anti-
sodomy life style is a personal thing and should be kept at home and not put on others who don't wish to be part of it. For example I like to go for a walk every day, come rain, snow or hot sunshine. How would these gay people like it if Prime Minister Bruce Golding pass a law saying that regardless of who you are you must walk for no less than one hour each day regardless of the weather condition or state of health. That would be madness. Prime Minister Bruce Golding have many responsibilities not just to himself and family but to Jamaica and the people. By not passing this Anti-Sodomy law does not cause any damage to anyone health I therefore see no reason why any more time should be spent on it. Prime Minster Bruce Golding have no choice but to put Jamaica and the people of his country at home and abroad first. If anyone don't like his views on this subject then they should keep their opinions to themselves. Who can tell the Queen of England how to rule over her Kingdom. Whilst Jamaica is not without its many short commings, we really don't need this.
