Mr. Golding and Air Jamaica
I just cannot understand what the Government underlying motives are as it relates to the sale of Air Jamaica Airline. Reading the Gleaner today Feb. 18.2010 article title “Pilots Plan Flawed “makes me believe that the Prime minister is determine to sell the air craft to an outside entity.
His statements sadden me because I am now having thoughts as to which side Mr. Golding is on. To me it doesn’t seem as if he is protecting or defending the interest of Jamaica or her people. He is talking about the plan that the pilot association for the future of the Aircraft and what is lacking but at the same time I don’t hear or read about any business plan in regards to the future of Air Jamaica from Mr. Golding interest group have. The transaction should be transparent the people of Jamaica deserve to know. Air Jamaica is not just about Mr. Golding and his backers, this is about Jamaicans all Jamaicans not just a chosen few. We cannot be like cults who follow and fall in line even though we are aware that we are being led to destruction.
I cannot see how we have a great problem such as the crime in Jamaica and the Prime Minister has not spent not even a quarter of energy on crime in comparison to the amount he spent on taking Air Jamaica away from us. What is the motive? What is the truthful reasoning behind this? Why the Air craft must be sold to a particle people? Who exactly is purchasing the aircraft?
You know deep down in my soul I can feel that something is just not right about this deal some people will benefit greatly from this transaction but many more will lose and I am talking about thousands of Jamaicans who probably will not get over this for a long, long time.
