Mr. Mayor Pardon Me
Mr. Mayor McKenzie I beg you pardon. How sir can you talk about having a Christmas when you and Mr. Golding have already interject your poisonous venom in the spirit of Christmas. When you all know of Mr. Golding plan to announce this vicious taxation on the people of Jamaica and you do nothing about it . Now you want to be the good concern Samaritan.
How can someone have a good Christmas when the only thing on their mind is the pending taxes? You are a hypocrite sir, because you know who created the problem but now you want to blame the people when they react to such brutality handed down on them by the government.
Now you are saying that the people should act intelligent and not demonstrate. Demonstration and letting your voices be heard is the intelligent thing for Jamaicans to do, as long as they have peaceful demonstration.
Mr. Mayor something is wrong in Jamaica as far as I can see. This announcement of more taxes on basic necessities only proves to me and many others that the present administration is definitely not capable to run the country. Why do I say this, in the beginning when the economic crisis hit America many have beg of the government to get prepare because of what is coming and the Government and minister of finance said that averting is fine with Jamaica. Many people who have common sense knew that it is impossible for America to be hit so hard and have no effect on Jamaica.
Now look what is happening all hell broke loose and who is receiving the blunt of it all, the poor people who is only guilty of voting for a government who made them promises before doing any research or study. How careless, and now poor people should suffer for his ignorance when one of his ground during election was that he is smart and educated therefore he will make a better leader.
I hope that many Jamaicans will understand and realize that no matter how much education one obtains they still need common sense. Therefore Mr. Mayor please use your common sense and don’t further insult the intelligence of the Jamaican people. Peaceful demonstration is not preventing the people from having a good Christmas because the Prime Minister Mr. Bruce Golding already took that away from then when he announced more taxes.
