Banning of Music
Kartel has complaint in regards to the banning of music that has sexual connotation, violence and gun war. Kartyl ,I am sorry but most of your music are very deep but vulgar. I love the mamma song that is a very good song and it shows
I commend that the Broadcasting Commission of Jamaica, he saw the importance of the Jamaican Music, Jamaican People and the country. It is very important for one to value what you have and not to destroy it. The Broadcasting Commissioner values what we have in Jamaica and is willing to stand up for the many Jamaicans at home and abroad who recognize what we have and want to take care of it. Probably the Broadcasting Commission is the one who should be running the county so we can clean up the corruptions, violence and get rid of the guns and murders. We cannot afford to let our country decay while the government and the leaders do nothing. Mr. commission I applaud you for the stand that you take sir. Much respect to you and you team sir. Thank you for protecting the future leaders and the integrity of our Island.

Many of us have heard the raunchy Lyrics from the wildly popular “Rampin Shop’ done by Vybz Kartel and Spice. Kartel is already known for his explicit lyrics in all his songs, whether they are about murder, love, sex are simply cursing out other artists. Kartel is gifted and he is like a modern day Shakespeare. The only difference is that Shakespeare was not exposed to some of our newly enlisted vocabulary.
Many of the criticism surrounds the exposure to these lyrics by children of all ages. Raunchy and X-rated lyrics have been around for a while and they are not going away any time soon. The parents have to engage the children in other positive behavior motivations so that these lyrics do not influence their lives. The artist also has the responsibility to restrain his/her self in the words that they put out there. Some people are vulnerable and suffer with low self esteem and will quickly emulate everything they hear or see.

Ace Dj Beenie Man was detained in Antigua over the weekend for allegedly using indecent languagesand working without a permit. His Antiguan promoter Asot Michael was also detained and questioned during the same incident. Both men were released without charges pending further investigation. Beenie Man flew back to Jamaica on Sunday.
