When you review and analyze many thing that happen in Jamaica and compare with other countries one would realize that Jamaicans are governed by a different principle. The good people which are the majority will suffer for the few bad ones.

Take for instance the scrap metal issue in Jamaica. There are many decent people who are glad for the opportunity to earn some income from obtain metal waste that they would sell. This has helped many to put food on their table thing seem bright and thing would have gone well but then you have some unscrupulous persons who decide that they can steel metal that are in use. This is a heartless practice and one that should be punished if these wrong doers are caught. The problems though is that many of these wrong doers are not penalized for their wrong doing because the government does not have in place means and ways to track these scrupulous person instead the government halt the program. Therefore the many that plays by the rules are punished because of those that don’t play by the rule.

The next issue that I have a problem with is the selling of Air Jamaica because this affects me directly and therefore I am being punished even though I have always play by the rules or should I say because I am underprivileged therefore I was not given the opportunity to enjoy the luxury of flying frequently most often first class without paying a cent. Many of us who use to pay our way because we choose to will no longer have the privilege of flying on the airline we have enjoyed for all these years. Because instead of the government tighten up the loophole that exist with air Jamaica they just decided to get rid of it like a puppy dog. Air Jamaica to me is like family and to me I would not just get or my family just like that. I would try everything and get help wherever or however to make things better.

The problem with the Jamaica Government is that they don’t appreciate what they have. The Jamaican mentality is that they take what they have for granted, the beaches, beautiful mountains, nice weather, reggae music, good soil, and a wonderful culture. But as the saying goes, “cow neva know the use a him tail until him loose it.”
