BERLIN – Six German states have told retailers to stop selling Red Bull Cola energy drinks after a test found a trace amount of cocaine.
The bans started Friday after a sample test conducted by authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia state found 0.4 micrograms per liter in the drink.
Five other states also banned it from shops amid concerns over possible narcotics law violations.
Germany’s Federal Institute for Risk Assessment said Monday that the cocaine level was too low to pose a health risk. It planned to produce a more detailed report Wednesday.

The post was true. In fact, the Red Bull cocaine content was beyond the acceptable levels, and they have pulled all Red Bull products and labeled them verboten. In North Rhine Westphalia, all red Bull was pulled, and Germany is considering a ban on the federal level. The drink contained enough coca extract to be labeled as a narcotic, a controlled substance. They should get a short term loan to reduce Red Bull cocaine levels.

Wow can you imagine doing a drug screen which shows positive cocaine and you are not aware that you have been drinking cocaine.How would you explain this one?
There is no doubt you can fail a drug screen by drinknig this stuff (the cola version). I failed mine and there is no doubt that the only thing that would cause it is this stuff. I was drinking between 2-4 a day, because I needed the caffeine to help with my cluster headaches.
